The mountains of Bolivia attract climbers from around the world, but this expedition to the poorest nation in Latin America was more about reaching out and giving back then just climbing. In the five weeks I spent filming in Bolivia I had the privilege to film amazing places, but more importantly, people doing amazing things to help others.
In the first week of the expedition our team of climbers and doctors spent time in the village of Chuñavi conducting a medical outreach. Over 150 villagers sought medical attention with conditions ranging from teeth abscesses to advance stages of tuberculosis. For members of the team this experience proved far more satisfying then just climbing mountains.
